"Pardon, your slip is showing"

Wasn't that the title of a column in "Reader's Digest"? Maybe it still is.

I heard the best one in a long time last night while watching the local election returns. The newscaster was preparing to segue into the concession speech given by one of the hopefuls in the race for Governor.

"In just a moment we will take you to the XYZ Hotel where ABC will admit Conceit"

I think it was one of those things that ran at the bottom of the page after most of the articles, and they had it semi-regularly, but not necessarily every issue. It's been a few years since I was keeping up with RD, though.

I think he's right, one of the quips after the articles, as opposed to a whole section (although, those humor columns were great). It certainly made sure I read every issue cover to cover...

(mostly I'm here testing your comment function :P )

In life at anytime and be said by anybody.
